Starting Wednesday, people around the country will be posting photo and video dedications to their loved ones on social media, using the hashtag #AcrossTheFence.

The campaign is in support of the upcoming Paramount Pictures feature film release, Fences, by director Denzel Washington The film is based on the August Wilson screenplay and adapted from his Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name.

The film stars Washington, Viola Davis, Jovan Adepo, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, and Saniyya Sidney.

Centered around the theme of family, #AcrossTheFence will feature messages from everyday people around the country––along with entertainers, philanthropists, community leaders and more––sharing their personal dedications to loved ones on various social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook with the hashtags #AcrossTheFence and #FencesMovie. Selected posts will be featured on acrossthefence.com and highlighted throughout the day.

Fences is scheduled to be released this Christmas in theaters across the nation.
