AH DAMN! I up until now had never heard any particulars of this story! They shot the man down and shot him in his back??!! WTF!?? Yes these blatant murderers need to be held accountable for this. And no i dont mean a weeks absense without pay, counceling, suspension for a month or that weak azz community service! They need to be punished like the common criminal who would pull the same thing! Police are nothing more than legalized,armed,awarded,paid,certified KLANSMEN!

Another case of injustice, total disrespect for black life and its sad and very disturbing. If this had been white teens murdered by black officers, this would be a national story.

What newsone and Dr. Watkins fail to acknowledge is that Barmore was shot because he had lunged for one of the officers guns and was trying to take it from him, and while the two struggled, the other officer shot him from behind.

All of this happened in front of a group of children. I would say that using lethal force to ensure that the suspect couldn’t yield a gun in front of children is completely justified. But then again, I don’t even know if thats why he was shot, and I can’t review the evidence. But after reading the entire story from a legit news source (not this one), I’d say it was justified.

Who knows? I could be wrong, and these cops could be laughing at us all in their white hoods as we speak… lol…

This is the same old story that every person of color knows. “Not Guilty” “justifiable homicide” and on and on. They just named a street after Sean Bell and the Mayor Bloomberg made sure not mention in his speech how he died even in the presence of his entire family. Now that is white privilege.

If the witness would’ve came foward when they were told to come to court to testify instead of going on vacation that would’ve help. It should be a law to have a camera man every time a police officer confronts someone and if there no video evidence then police should be accountable. Police are taught a thing called “word ninjitsue” its the ability to twist your own words around to make you sound guilty. They need police reform! If I am accountable for every time I shoot a bullet in a war zone with ROE to follow they need to be accountable when it comes to our own civilians.

With separation of class and people of means moving further and further away from poor and welfare communities, some of you are correct in assessing that the cops believe it to be a free for all on black boys, especailly when they are felons. I’m saddened that since I left Mi, twenty one years ago in March, we as a people have allowed our neighborhoods to remain training grounds for cops and the often brutal manner in which they have chosen to deal with our youth. And yet i’m reminded by my white friends and clients that when they see our children on the street with their pants down to their anus and the belligerent nature in which they communicate, not a whole lot of people feel for them or their plight. There is a lot to be said about taking responsibility for ones actions and believe it or not, many people feel like the cops are justified in treating black people as they do. We all know that their actions are just as horrendous as their logic, but at the end of the day, who is the one always left holding the short end of the stick, especially when the cops get away with their behavior and we find our children locked up or dead as a result of theirs. If we truly want others to see us differently than they do, we need to start acting differently than we do. That means stop talking about caring for one another and start acting as if we do. You see when you walk around in your neighborhood hating and belittling others and acting with prejudice against one another, you can’t expect other people to act any differently, especially not the cops, it’s a ticket to act out. Many people like to say that cops and judges are former KKK members who donned the robe for a shield and gun, that being the case or not, one would think we would want to be more careful about how we treat each other as opposed to allowing them to always see chaos and drama amongst us. One thing I taught my own son and remind people of on a daily basis is this “You Are What You Act like”, and others will treat you as such. Let’s make some changes, so they won’t have a choice but to as well.
