Open Letter To Michael Steele, Drop The Slang And Stand Up To Racism

Dear Michael Steele,
You are in between a rock in a hard place. You seem to talk one way to Black people and another to your Republican colleagues. Do you really think white Republicans are scared of you? It seems like you are more scared of white Republicans. When you called Rush Limbaugh an ugly, incendiary voice, you apologized promptly. So while the GOP might not be scared of you, you are definitely scared of Rush Limbaugh.
It seems to me that both white Republicans and the African American community seem to view you as a joke. Why do you think Republicans scared of you? Is it because your Black? Why do you feel the need to tell them that your on their side? Shouldn’t they already know that considering you’re the head of the RNC.
Since you’re the head of the RNC, why don’t you do anything about the pattern of racist emails and Facebook scandals your party keeps getting into? When you say change comes in a teabag, are you aware of the racism and ugly Anti-Obama sentiment that comes from these rallies.
Your use of slang makes you more of an outdated stereotype than someone who is in touch with Black culture. Black people aren’t stupid. You can’t just say “what’s up, I’m in the heezy” and just get them to vote for your party. Clearly both Obama and Michelle Bachman seem to treat your use of slang as a joke.
Black people will not become Republicans just because you change the name of the RNC’s blog to “What Up.” That is the name of teen Black pop magazine from the eighties. This just makes it look like you are patronizing the African American community and making the GOP look silly.
The problem with the GOP is not its lack of Black figureheads and the use of slang. The GOP has long written off Black voters and has used Black people as scapegoats to get white votes. They have voted against the interests of African Americans, whether it be affirmative action, funding inner city schools, or social programs.
When you stand up for Joe Wilson after he disrespects the President of the USA during a speech, you are aligning yourself with a man with a very strong history of racism against the first Black president.
Colin Powell is a Black republican who I respect. A man who isn’t scared to speak out against Rush Limbaugh and GOP racism. You on the other hand seem to be more of a tool of the GOP racists who only represents your people and culture with slang that no one over 40 (or under) should use.
Sincerely Casey Gane-McCalla

THAT LETTER IS THE SHYT! GOOD JOB Casey Gane-McCalla!
And for those of you who have your history twisted, the USED to be DEMOCRATS severed from the party and called themselves “Dixiecrats”
Quoting from “The Dixiecrat Revolt and the End of the Solid South, 1932-1968″ by Kari Frederickson:
“the Dixiecrats forever altered politics in the South. By severing the traditional southern allegiance to the national Democratic Party in presidential elections, the Dixiecrats helped forge the way for the rise of the Republican Party in the region.”
Stop lying to people about the Democrats!
Know you history and know it well!
michael Steele owes black people NOTHING. It is not his job to discipline party members, only to get them elected, just as it is the WHITE DNC leader to help elect Democrats.
The worst thing Michael could do is pander to blacks or “dumb down” the GOP platform to make it more African-American friendly, AKA Democrat Light.
It is up to blacks to get their heads out of Obama’s butt and consider changing their political strategy, which has been for half a century to whine and beg the white man for whatever scraps he can throw us.
Democrats have done no more for blakcs than have the GOP. BOTH parties are only interested in gaining and holding power, but it seems only the majority race seems to understand that. They play using the rules of the game. We just mope around and cry about how badly we are losing the game.
Joe Wilson was CORRECT when he challenged Obama, and while I agree it was disrepectful, it was no more so than all the name calling the Democrats expectorated towards GS Bush for eight years. I have not seen any cartoons ridiculing Obama’s bony frame like those which showed Bush as a dwarfish, moronic, pointy eared, beady eyed elf.
As for the GOP attracting blacks, that would be a waste of time, money and political capitol.
Why waste your time on a group that will not support you even if you came and gave them buckets of money? Blacks will vote for a Democrats who is unethical, dishonest, incompetent, and a liar to boot before voting for a Republican with nary a single negative mark on his or her record. They voted 75% for George Wallace, who coined the phrase “Segregation today, tomorrow, and FOREVER”, which became the rallying cry for those DEMOCRATS who killed the four little girls in that church bombing in Alabama 50 years ago.
As an Independent, I never choose a candidate until he or she has convinced me that he or she (sometimes IT) can do the best job for the country or the local jurisdiction. Since 1980 I have voted about 90% GOP, right now I caucus with THEM because they focus on issues relevant to the whole country (lower taxes, smaller government, national defense, free enterprise) rather than a gaggle of special interest groups (Gay rights, Affirmative-Action, unrestrained abortion, atheism, legalizing marijuana and amnesty for illegatos .
I supported another black man, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, who apparently was too conservative for the wimps that control the GOP these days, but since Steele got the job, I have to go with that flow, just as I have to go with my THIRD choice (after John McCain and Hillary Clinton) Barack Obama. Silly me. I figured the other two would do more for the country as whole than a community organizer with no executive experience.
What do I know?
I guess my only consolation is that I know how to shield my earnings from the clutches of the looters in the streets and their friends in the White House, so when Obama’s house of cards crumbles, it will be the parasites who will feel the crunch long time before I do.
Gee. That’s almost like being a REPUBLICAN.
him and Kobe look alot alike
First of all guy’s like Michael Steele,Larry Elder are “Tom A$$ N’GGAS”,to their heart’s. They are very passionate about it.They’d run to open a door for a White woman and tip their hat’s to one!…They get on Fox New’s,and out talk the White Anchor’s,putting Black’s down.Snitch’s for White Supremacy. What do you think MASSA’S…gonna do with their dumb A$$’s when he get’s done with them.
@touchmeone.
Correlate racism with the republican paerty…? Hmmm. Could it be because they often fly the confederate flag at rallies? have posters of Obama looking like a witch doctor with a bone through his nose? I could go on.
As for Dean, where exactly is the racism? You’re trying to accuse Dean of the republican’s own racism. It’s laughable. It’s not like he is lying. The majority of Blacks at a republican rally would more likely be on a wait staff. That’s how they want it: you (negroes)are to be seen but certainly not heard.
As for Biden’s comments, McCain used similar commnets as well. And you practice your own intr-racism in claiming that any Black person that is not a conersavtive republican like yourself is brainwashed. Well fool, we are all brainwashed to degrees. Just because you’re different, that doesn’t make you wise or intelligent. Most fools often go their own way. As for Robert Byrd, I raise you Trent Lott, Strom Thurmond, and how about William Bennett, who made the statement that a way to reduce the crime rate would be for Black people to abort their children. Where is your comment on that? I’d say that’s far worse than what you claim that Dean and Biden had spoken. But hey! Don’t listen to me… I’m brainwashed.
Hey lakerDUDE! Are you capable of coming up with soemthing orignal; on your own instead of the tired and retread talking points? Race-baiting liberal… are you waiting for Flush to come up with something new?
Overall, I agree with your sentiment, and I’m waiting for your article on the Democratic party too and why they are probably MORE racist than Republicans. @touchmeone, although both those statements you cite, may have been in poor taste and just unfunny, I fail to see any racist over or under tone in any of them. Seems like you’re reaching a bit with those. Let me ask you, do you mean to say that there hasn’t been overt racist disrespect shown to the President at these tea bag rallies, or on the radio with various RW commentators? I’m no Obama fan in the least, but I’m not foolish enough to overlook the obvious racism that seems to fuel a lot of this so called criticism and I would suggest you don’t be either!
Why you librals always try to correlate racism with the Republican Party and turn a blind eye to the obvious racism in the democrat party. Racial comments by former democrat president and dnc leader Howard Dean “do you think the republicans can get this many black people in a room ? only if they wer on a wait staff”. Vice presz joe biden ” we got the first african american presz thats articulate ,clean bright and smart ” i guess the rest of blacks are the contrary. Oh theres plenty more like dem senator from west virgina Robert Bird the former grand dragon of the kkk.

WORD Up Magazine.
I consider Colin Powell an Independent.
This is advice coming from the flaming black race-baiting liberal who thinks he has dissected and analyzed every inch of the republican party when in reality he knows very little and is simply showing his ignorance.
Keep on listening to MSNBC
I second that
