I ask because the posts that I see from you are hell bent on discrediting Ron Paul. If he is so terrible why are you even wasting your time on him?
Why not promote your own beliefs and solutions? Let us know who you support, let us know your leanings, let us know your political passions. You have a gift for the writing, obviously, but you seem to want to use that gift for a negative purpose. My conclusion is you are working for someone that wants to discredit Ron Paul and you have sold your soul.

The reason i write about Ron Paul is because I’ve scene the damage that white supremacy can do. I had no idea he had any connections to white supremacists till i started doing research on the Tea Party and found out about the large Neo-Nazi, militia contingent.

Upon doing research I found evidence that led me to believe Ron Paul was a white supremacist due to his writings, his connections and support system.

My job as a journalist is to keep politicians in check. I’ve also written harsh critiques of Black democrats like Kwame Kilpatrick and neo-Cons like Limbaugh and Palin.

I’ve only written three stories about Ron Paul compared to dozens on Palin, Limbaugh, Cheney etc. I’m more anti-right than I am pro left.

I believe in more money for education, more taxes on the rich and corporations, less money for the military diplomacy over war for foreign policy and am for the legalization of marijuana.

History has shown us the dangers of white supremacy and right wing extremism and i choose to use my position and talent as a writer to fight against those things. I’d much rather have Ron Paul not be a KKK symathizer but that’s not what the facts tell us. I agree with his positions on the wars and the the drug ar but his tax positions are social Darwinism that would lead to the rich getting richer while the poor get screwed, his positions on civil rights and hate crimes are horrible and he seems more driven by crazy conspiracy theories than any logical ideology

Casey your article on education funding was garbage but you were on point with Ron Paul he is a racist.

The civil war was not fought over slavery. The Civil War was fought over states rights. Essentially (Ron Paul and the Tea baggers) are trying to assert their states right to self govern. This was clearly rejected by the goverment then and it is rejected by the goverment now. Hence the Civil War.

The problem with these Marxist (Ultra Liberals such as Professor Cornell West)and Tea Party (Ultra Conservatives ie. Ron Paul) is that it’s all theory. These economic systems have been tried and have failed miserably.
Communism Failed
Feudalism Failed
Flat Tax system Failed

Ron Paul stated the goverment should have bought the slaves instead of forceably freeing the slaves. Buying the slaves really misses the point. Theoretically under states rights. A slave owner could have sold his slaves to the government and bought more slaves to replace the ones he sold. Because, that would have been his right. States rights is a ridiculous notion that believes states could coexist as a unified entity while essentially being multiple separate self controlled, self governing bodies. The government (decentralized) would not have the authority nor the capability to enforce anything including taxation food and health standards ect.. Theoretical bullshyt.

There are somethings that I actually agree with Ron Paul. Essentially who controls the banking system and U.S. involvement in the Middle East, but, there are somethings that I would agree with Hilter on. Does that make me a Nazi supporter? No! Casey this is pure garbage and you know it. How can you educate kids in an environment where kids are not motivated, have no discipline and have no respect for authority? One of the most intelligent people I have ever met in my life was my great aunt. She was educated in a colored school by candle light down south in the late 1800’s early 1900’s. She went on to college got a degree and became a teacher (basically one of few job opportunities that were available for educated Negros back then). She was motivated to learn. We are just putting good money (900 million) on top of bad money. The money is going to be spent on an increase in the number of teachers and an increase in their salaries (this is great for the teachers and the teacher unions who don’t want any accountability), capital improvements and equipment. History has shown that the number of drop outs will not change substantially. It has been shown over and over again that more money does not mean better achievement. My point is this; You can give every student a new apple computer and place gold handrails in the school. If the kids are not motivated, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. My solution is to use 70% of the money to pay the kids for grades, test scores and good behavior. Rank them. Kids love to compete and feel proud about earning something. It will, also, give them a quick lesson in capitalism. The harder you work the more you accomplish the more (in most cases) you’re rewarded. Set time aside during class for homework. Most of their parents are drop outs and can barely read themselves and do not really value education. Some of them talk a good game, but they really don’t value and prioritize education. Home is not a place where a lot of homework is going to get done. Remaining 30% for teachers and capital improvements and equipment. Give the teachers a raise and fire teachers whose students (two consecutive years or two out of three years) rank the in lowest 10% within each area at the end of every school year. This creates accountability from the teachers

I disagree – Tell that to some of the kids from India, China, Africa or any third world country who were taught (most cases) in a much worst environment. They have come to the U.S. and are now some of the best and brightest students in most universities all around the country. Casey, thanks for helping more clearly define my point (I thought the aunt story was sufficient). Everything is useless without motivation from the kids however it’s derived. Also, it is very difficult to be motivated when you have a school environment where kids have no discipline and a lack of respect for authority.

I would like to believe that I’m in the middle politically. I don’t trust the ultra left, the ultra right nor the conspiracy theorist. They are all xenophobic ideologues.
