I dont think this was racially motivated at all. Although, publishing articles like this would have one believe so, or at least ignite a fuse that isn’t there.

This guy seems to have suffered from severe depression. I think there were plenty of things bothering this person…but to specifically list this ONE blog completely changes the tone of the situation in the wrong way.

I’m sorry, no matter whether we try to ignore it or not, [i.e. the media at large] This man’s blog held racial undertones. His actions might not have been motivated by a racist attitude, in large, it was still a part of his reasoning. He didn’t mention any hate of Obama, just a weariness for him. BUT, his response in the end of that paragraph lets us know that race was a factor in his thoughts. Its sad, and an ugly fact.

I don’t think he was a racist. He may have had some opinions about black people but he probably didn’t know many living in western PA and he seemed to be more concerned with other problems rather than race. He didn’t use any expletives in his blogs about blacks or any other race. He even had an asian stepsister who though he doesn’t think she’s very attractive, he doesn’t make alot of negative statements either. He didn’t say anything really negative about Obama either though there was a hint of sarcasm there.

Stop looking for racism in every little incident. You don’t have to go far to find it but it’s not like he came gunning for black people. Get a life already.
