I am a advocate and a strong support of the Obama Administration. However, this story will hurt him with Blacks and other supporters. CNN reported that Sherrod mentioned that the white house was scared of Glen Beck and that’s why they forced her to resign. Glen Beck of all people? If this statement is true, I just lost some respect for the Administration. How can a person who reports propaganda and lies sway a President’s Administration? I’m still a supporter but “growing balls” now come into play for Obama and his Administration.

I think we should change that title to house negro in chief! It’s amazing how he would insist on this “retirement,” but had nothing but praise for Sen Byrd. She told some story of an incident that happened years ago, probably embellished it quite a bit, and now this White House is throwing her under the bus….lol…I’m sure many of you handkerchief head negroes on this site will probably agree with this move, because “your” President needs to stay away from ANYTHING controversial, and anything that might be twisted into controversy!!

I was saddened to hear this morning that the people of West Virginia have lost a true champion, the United States Senate has lost a venerable institution, and America has lost a voice of principle and reason with the passing of Robert C. Byrd.

Senator Byrd’s story was uniquely American. He was born into wrenching poverty, but educated himself to become an authoritative scholar, respected leader, and unparalleled champion of our Constitution. He scaled the summit of power, but his mind never strayed from the people of his beloved West Virginia. He had the courage to stand firm in his principles, but also the courage to change over time.

He was as much a part of the Senate as the marble busts that line its chamber and its corridors. His profound passion for that body and its role and responsibilities was as evident behind closed doors as it was in the stemwinders he peppered with history. He held the deepest respect of members of both parties, and he was generous with his time and advice, something I appreciated greatly as a young senator.

We take solace in the fact that he is reunited with his wife of nearly 69 years, Erma; and our thoughts and prayers are with their daughters, their grandchildren and great grandchildren, and all the people of West Virginia who loved Robert C. Byrd.

i beg to differ. she should of stfu. i dont get the sen byrd corralation because she wasnt an ellected official. she had a govt job, just like the the dethroned general whos name escapes me. now of coarse she was set up, but not malcolm x or fred hampton set up in that she had to open up her mouth to put the plan into motion. in the words of one of my favorite philosophers “the quiet duck is never on the kitchen table” (larry hoover). she does have the freedom of speech, but that only protects citizens against imprisonment. u can always loose your job over talking about sensative issues involving race, sexual preferences, or pay rates.

You don’t get the correlation?? The common denominator in all three cases (Sherrod, Byrd and Wright) was RACE. But it seems as though, when a black person is accused of being racist, this President wants to create as much distance as possible, while PRAISING a KLANSMAN?? I differ with you in being “set up.” She told a story probably embellished it a bit, which often happens, and this President rather than confront it, throws the black under the bus. Also, you won’t here him say anything about the Tea Party and the racist elements involved with it. Come on bruh, dude didn’t even want to go to the MLK memorial when he was running because of how it may have looked. This man is race averse and he reminds us of that every time a situation like this comes up. What did she say that was so racist anyway? that she didn’t work as hard for him as she could have? But she gave a reason, and that reason was the man was in supremacist mode with her. And she did direct the man to get help.

Like I said anyway, BHO unconditional supporters will find ways to justify any and everything he does.

Oh and another thing, even after Mchrystal showed BHO the highest disrespect a commanding officer could show to a superior, BHO still found it in his heart to praise him and thank him for his service. Think something, anything like that will happen here? How about with Van Jones? Again, this Pres. is highly sensitive when it comes to race issues, and unfortunately, his sensitivity has him in a hands off mode. The funny thing is, no matter what he does in these cases, his detractors will still have no love for him!!!!

She said what she said because of the attitude the white farmer had towards her. So I don’t blame her for not giving him, her full power. Obama do have a problem of throwing another black person under the bus for saying something about race but praise white people for doing it.

First of all this was just a small clip of her speech that was over 20 years ago. The white house, and the naacp did not even view the whole speech before making this decision. If they would have investigated the speech they would have found out that she said that she then looked deep into her self and realized her own racist views, and then redeemed herself by giving that white farmar the best help possible. Even the farmer said that she treated him with out most respect. Tell me this why is the obama adminstration so worried about what fox news and the tea party put out anyway? He is so worried about white conservatives that are not going to support or vote for him anyway, while ignoring issues that deal with black america. @panterg08, this is what you will get with these BHO Zombies! They have suspended their ability to reason and think logically in favor of blindly following. She is telling a story of how she dealt with a situation that was racially charged. She was very REAL about it too, telling us how she felt, and how she struggled to separate her personal feelings from what she was being paid to do. In the end, she did what she was supposed to do. According to her story, the only thing she DIDN’T do was go above and beyond, and she is not really required to do so. The time in our history is so damn serious now, with real fears of double dip recession, and war with Iran, and people are trying to call this a “controversy?” or claiming blinded and unconditional loyalty because they are from the same neighborhood? If we weren’t at such a SERIOUS crossroad in our history, this would be laughable.

You talk about polls and how they should have no bearing, but what you don’t understand is, these things take the temperature of the masses, and these people who take them understand how POWERFUL groupthink can be and how easy it is to manipulate it. It doesn’t have to necessarily be constructive or even logical, but politics is a war of the minds. It matters not what you do for the people but rather, how many people you can convince that you will do right by them. No coincidence that the 2008 AdAGE Marketer of the year award went to the BHO campaign, beating out Apple and Nike. True those polls do reflect the mood and opinion of many people, but most of those people are bias by nature, so some of those polls are going to reflect the same bias such as a any fox news or msnbc poll. The problem with americans as a whole is that most of us want to take sides; republican, democrat; conservative; liberal; but i beleive that it is wiser to hear both points of views than make a rational decision, this 2 party situation is killing us. Untill we as a nation get passed this we are all doomed to keep repeating the same process, which will keep producing the same result, the only people that benefit are the politicians while the rest of us fight over wich party should be in office!

@PANTHERg08. It’s difficult to find anyone in this world who isn’t bias. This world has conditioned us all to be that way. Some of recognize it and try to reverse or eliminate it from within, while others are oblivious to it’s existence. The bottom line is, these poll takers know this as well, and take these polls as a gauge to see how their message is being taken by the target audience. FOX’s ratings are almost double the combined ratings of MSNBC and CNN. Bill O’REilly CRUSHES Olberman and whoever is on CNN at that time. I used to work for the largest ratings agency in the world and trust me, people pay BIG $$money$$ to know what people are watching and how often. Billboards, newspapers, internet etc. it’s all monitored, and the only way they can know if the message is getting out are through these polls. There is really no other effective way to do it, and this is why politicians take them a lot more serious than the average person realizes.
