The mom of a McDonald’s employee charged with beating two customers defended her son yesterday telling a Manhattan court, “My son is a loving individual – not a criminal,” she said.

Her son, Rayon McIntosh, 31, faces assault and weapons charges after he was seen on tape beating Denise Darbeau and Rachel Edwards, both 24, with a metal rod in a video that went viral on the web, after the two women allegedly verbally assaulted McIntosh and then jumped over the counter.

Fueling the controversy is the fact that McIntosh spent more than a decade behind bars for slaying a classmate in 2000.

Michael Joseph, who was also working that night, testified that one of the women yelled at a third employee: “F–k you! I hope you get deported.”
