Deion Sanders (pictured left at court) is reportedly able to have a sigh of relief, after a Texas judge awarded custody of the kids he shares with soon-to-be-ex wife, Pilar (pictured right), to him in addition to granting him sole occupation of his home, according to Dallas Fort Worth Fox 4.

On Monday, Judge Jay Wheless listened to the final testimony from both parties in order to determine who would receive primary custody of the three children in addition to the Prosper, Texas, home the couple shared until a domestic scuffle that occurred late last month.

During the trial, Pilar alleged with her friend, Dee Boswell, who was present during the incident, that Deion hit her repeatedly with a large African statue.
According to MyFox:
[Boswell testified that] she “heard Pilar screaming. It was a gut-wrenching scream.” Then she said she ran down the hall and “I saw him standing over her with a statue in his hand and Pilar with her hands over her head. I saw him hit her with a statue.”
Pilar also allowed the court to hear a private audio recording of the incident. Unfortunately for Pilar, the audio appears to have painted her in a less-than-complimentary light. Pilar could reportedly be heard saying to Deion, “Shut up, b*tch!” along with a number of other expletives while the children cried for her to stop.
MyFox reports:
Pilar continued cursing and called Deion a punk and a little girl.
“That’s what your daddy is,” Pilar told her son.
Throughout the recording the children could be heard crying and pleading with their mother to stop.
Deion, on the other hand, could be heard clearly asking Pilar to leave his room, bolstering his claims that Pilar was indeed the aggressor in the scuffle.
After the audio was played, the judge decided that Pilar would not only lose her right to occupy the house but that Deion would temporarily receive temporary custody of the children. Pilar cannot come within 500 feet of the residence. The judge also ordered that the children receive counseling for their psychological distress.
While Deion went home with a smile on his face, it appears — at this point — that at least some of what has been said about Pilar as a Mother and spouse may be true. A few months ago, Deion’s daughter Deiondra went in on Pilar on Twitter, calling her an adulterer, gold-digger, and neglectful Mom:

As for the April 23 incident, Deion called police, when Pilar reportedly stormed in to his room and then jumped him with Boswell once he attempted to return Pilar to her side of the house. After police came, Deion tweeted about the situation:

With hope, now the children can get the stability and peace of mind that they require. While we all know that divorces and break-ups can get messy, you know you’ve gone too far when you have your own children begging for you to stop.
