Pilar and Deion Sanders are at war again, and this time, the dueling duo are in court for custody of their three children, reports NBC 5 News.
This week, Collin County, Texas, courtroom jurors will determine which parent will choose the primary residence of all three children.
Pilar reportedly told the 12 jurors, “I love my babies. I’ve done everything for them and with them and anything to keep them happy and doing very well in all they do. I’m mommy.”
Deion, on the other hand, stated, “I have my boys on a daily basis. My daughter’s with me all the time. They go back and forth whenever they want, that’s the way I am. If you want to spend time with your mom, let’s do it.”
At one point during the court proceeding, Deion made a compelling statement about Pilar, saying that while he is able to communicate with his former wife, Carolyn Sanders, without any problems, he is totally unable to communicate with Pilar and refuses to even call or text because he does not trust her.
Outside the courtroom, Pilar’s lawyer claims Deion is behind $275,000 in paying Pilar’s legal fees, but Deion argues that according to their 1999 prenuptial agreement, both he and his estranged wife are individually responsible for any legal fees incurred.
Deion reportedly told NBC 5 News that Pilar is all about the Benjamins, “She only gets a million dollars in the pre-nup. They’ve exhausted her to the end. She’s not smart enough to see that. The fight for the kids, it’s not about the kids. It’s about the money.”
The Sanders’ divorce has been in full swing now for about two years. The seemingly long parting-of-the-ways marriage between Pilar and Deion has been drama-filled from the start with accusations of cheating, spousal abuse — both verbal and physical — theft, nasty Twitter/Facebook rants, and arrests.
Still, both Deion and Pilar are in agreement that they both want what is best for their children.
