Former “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” star Kimberly Zolciak (pictured right) is striking back against her former friend, song-writer extraordinaire, Kandi Burruss (pictured left), claiming that the singer’s allegations against her are merely a publicity seeking stunt for her new show, reports TMZ.
Zolciak and Burruss were fast friends until Burruss made Zolciak’s dreams of becoming a recording artist come true. After ‘”Tardy For The Party” became a hit, Zolciak handsomely cashed in while underpaying Kandi.
The “No Scrubs” song-writer finally sued Zolciak and she had quite a bit to say on the matter.

Kim just filed legal docs … asking a judge to toss a lawsuit against her filed by Kandi Burruss … who also appears on RHOA. Kandi — who was a member of the group Xscape and wrote TLC’s “No Scrubs” — alleges Kim hoarded profits from a song they co-wrote, “Tardy for the Party,” which aired on the show in 2009.
Kim claims in the docs that even Kandi doesn’t believe what she’s alleging, and it’s all just a publicity stunt to get attention for her new show, “The Kandi Factory.”
Kim says Kandi has been amply paid for her musical contribution … and was actually overpaid to the tune of $6,000.
It’s unfortunate that the old saying. “Never mix friends with money,” proved to be advice they should have both followed.
