Matthew Knowles (pictured right), superstar singer Beyonce’s father, is allegedly so behind in his child support payments to the tune of $32,135.90 that his child and baby mama are receiving public assistance and food stamps, according to TMZ.
Knowles’ state of California child support records were first obtained by TMZ last year and the site stated that the entrepreneur reportedly stiffed Alexsandra Wright out of the financial support. The courts mandated that Knowles dole out $12,000 a month for the care of his three-year-old son, Nixon (pictured next to Wright), with Wright, who starred in the now defunct TV comedy, “Scrubs.”
Knowles was married to Beyoncé and sister Solange’s mother, Tina for 31 years until they separated in 2009, then officially divorced in 2011. The couple parted ways after it came to light that Knowles had an affair with Wright and the union had produced a love child. Wright gave birth to Nixon on February 4, 2010 following an 18-month affair with Knowles.
The 61-year-old record executive at first denied that Nixon was his child but a DNA test later proved otherwise.
Soon after the revelation, Beyonce, whose career was managed by Knowles, relieved him of his duties.
Knowles went on to tie the knot last July with Gena Avery, 48, and neither of his daughters showed up at the nuptials. Knowles stated at the time that both Beyoncé and Solange had previous engagements.
Now Wright is reportedly having quite a time making ends meet financially. Last year, sources close to her allegedly told TMZ that she has had to pull Nixon out of private school because she could not afford the exorbitant cost. Now, the single mom has reportedly resorted to receiving government assistance, getting $300 a month on a state-issued EBT card for food.
Even though the pair have had some ugly legal entanglements before it will get even uglier now, if Knowles does not pay up! The allegedly delinquent dad blames a clerical error within the court system for the tardy payments to Wright.
Wright’s case against her ex is reportedly being examined by a judge…stay tuned….
