For the second straight year, a student from Long Island, New York’s Elmont Memorial High School has been accepted at all eight Ivy League schools, according to NBC 4 New York.

The student, Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, 17, who is the class valedictorian, has until May 1 to decide whether she’ll attend one of the prestigious northeastern schools. She has a 101.6 GPA and was also a finalist in the prestigious Intel Science competition, writes News 12 Long Island. She credits her success to her parents and teachers.

“My family is so excited,” she told the television news outlet. “Sometimes I feel like they get so much more excited than me. They literally scream. When I called my mom and told her, she was screaming on the phone.”

She says her accomplishment is thanks to instructors like Michelle Flannory who were always pushing her to think outside the box.  But Flannory, a science research teacher, says she has always seen something special in Uwamanzu-Nna.

“I think Augusta has always had an eye for improvement and growing, so that has been critical to her success,” Flannory says.

The eight ivies are Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, and Yale University.

Uwamanzu-Nna was also accepted at Johns Hopkins University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, reports NBC News.

Last year, the report says that Elmont’s Harold Ekeh chose Yale from among the 13 universities where he was accepted.

This is awesome. Let’s all give her a s/o for a job well done!! #blackgirlmagic
