The theme of this year’s Met Gala was Manus x Machina, an ode to the collision of fashion and technology, which made for some interesting red carpet choices at the annual star-studded fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.

Since the theme itself was eccentric, the stars definitely got creative with their fashion choices. Here are a few examples:
