Shonda Rhimes, ABC’s own “First Lady,” came to Michelle Obama’s defense on Wednesday, slamming Fox News host Bill O’Reilly for his slavery comments.

Michelle Obama roused the crowd with her endorsement of Hillary Clinton on the opening night of the DNC – recalling the striking emotion she felt watching her daughters walk through the White House, a home built on the backs of slaves.

O’Reilly got all riled up, and claimed during Tuesday night’s episode of The O’Reilly Factor that those slaves were “well-fed” and decently housed for their services.

Twitter tried their best to inform the misguided journalist about his flub throughout most of Tuesday night.

But Rhimes jumped into the fray on Wednesday, unleashing a Twitter read for the ages:

O’Reilly still wasn’t persuaded and doubled-down on Wednesday night, saying the “far left loons” slanted his comments.

It’s unclear whether anyone has the time, energy, or resources to go through this with the Fox News host again. You can lead a horse to water but…you know the rest, y’all.
