Actress Erin Moran, best known for her role as Joanie Cunningham on the sitcoms “Happy Days” and “Joanie Loves Chachi,” has died. According to the Chicago Tribune, Moran was found dead at her home in Harrison County, Indiana on Saturday.

Erin Moran, the former child star who played Joanie Cunningham in the sitcoms “Happy Days” and “Joanie Loves Chachi,” died Saturday at age 56.

A statement from the sheriff’s department in Harrison County, Indiana, said the dispatcher “received a 911 call about an unresponsive female. Upon arrival of first responders, it was determined that Erin Moran Fleischmann was deceased. An autopsy is pending.”

The dispatcher confirmed to The Associated Press that the woman was the actress, who had been married to Steven Fleischmann.

After news spread about Moran’s death, several people took to Twitter to share their condolences; including her former co-stars Ron Howard and Henry Winkler.

During her career, Moran also starred on shows like “Murder, She Wrote,” and “The Love Boat.” According to the outlet, she had a memoir in the works titled Happy Days, Depressing Nights.

Moran was 56.
