Adrianna Williams, from Minnesota, booked her trip through OBL Travel. reports, “Williams, who found OBL Travel online, said her group of 16 was set to go to Essence Festival. She said the group’s package included their hotel stay, rides to and from the airport, party passes and tickets to the festival. Williams said she paid with a money order and has not heard anything from OBL.”

Williams told the site, “I didn’t get nothing but lint in my pocket and not being able to pay my mortgage.” She gave OBL nearly $17,000.

Cinneah Elamin arrived in New Orleans from New York City, only to find her group had no tickets, hotel, or party passes. Elamin and her group paid OBL $5,000, she told, “We are not from New Orleans. We are from the New York, D.C., Maryland area, so to get down here and find that we have absolutely nothing is really a shock. At the moment we have nothing. If we find out that we actually do not have concert tickets, then we likely will not be able to attend the show now that the tickets are well over $500.”

Nakesia Washington, owner of OBL, released a statement regarding Williams, saying, “I plan on refunding the money.” But she also says she is in the hospital and her account was hacked, so her money is frozen. However, she claims not to be aware of Elamin, even though she provided documentation that she paid for the trip through OBL. “I have been dropping tickets off since yesterday and today, so I do not know who she is,” Nakesia Washington claimed. “Everybody that reached out to me today, I have communicated with them via email.” But also reported, “WDSU asked Washington if she planned on refunding the money, and she did not respond.”

The Better Business Bureau revealed they have had 14 complaints against the company and many are from large groups.

Hopefully, these women get every dime returned to them. See the clip below:
