Caretaker Caught Beating 91-Year-Old Woman On Tape
WPIX is reporting about an incident where an aide payed to look after an elderly woman was caught on camera physically abusing her.
A home health aide in Jersey City — who cared for an elderly woman eight hours a day, five days a week for the last 11 years — was caught on tape brutally beating the 91-year-old woman, according to authorities.
Officials say the health aide — identified as 52-year-old Carmen Pereira, was charged Sept. 3 with aggravated assault with extreme indifference, endangering the welfare of an incompetent person and neglect of an elderly/disabled person.
