Philadelphia — President Barack Obama called Philadelphia Eagles Owner, Jeffrey Lurie to commend him for signing Quarterback, Michael Vick. During NBC’s “Football Night In America,” Peter King reported that Obama had called Lurie to congratulate the Eagles for giving Vick a second chance.

President Obama explained that a level playing field rarely exists for prisoners who have completed their sentences. Vick’s success gives all of them hope.
