Black Georgia voters
Black voters cast the most ballots as early voting began amid record turnout in the Peach State.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has threatened to purge more than 100,000 registered voters from the rolls just weeks ahead of a special runoff election to fill a vacant State House seat. That should sound familiar.
Not burdened by respectability politics and rules of decorum, lawmakers like Park Cannon, Angie Nixon, Travaris McCurdy, and Michele K. Rayner-Goolsby center equity injustice and are fighting to protect democracy.
"President Trump’s last-ditch attempt to pressure the Georgia Secretary of State to overturn the unequivocal results of the presidential election places our democracy squarely at a crossroads," the LDF said in a released statement.
