Education Secretary Linda McMahon has made several moves this year to weaken the Department of Education, including laying off over 1000 workers.
A lawsuit was filed against the labor department in May after they abruptly announced they would be ceasing operations at 99 Job Corps centers nationwide.
The Labor Department is currently facing a lawsuit over the attempted closure of Job Corps and was ordered to keep the sites open while it proceeds.
The National Job Corps Association filed the suit against the Labor Department to prevent the closure of over 123 Job Corps centers around the country.
