Vice President Kamala D. Harris, poised to make history as the first woman, first Black woman, first South-Asian woman, and first HBCU graduate to be President of the United States of America, is spending election 2024 at her alma mater—the Mecca, thee illustrious Howard University, in Washington D.C.

With AI becoming more prevalent, and misinformation and disinformation suffocating our (social) media platforms, amplifying young, Black journalists has never been more important. Join NewsOne as we open the floor to the brilliant student journalists at Howard’s Cathy Hughes School of Communication, as they document the biggest story of their professional careers to date, and one of the most memorable nights in this nation’s political history.

Though noncitizen international students in the U.S. can’t vote in the presidential election, their lives could still be impacted by the results. Some choose to engage by staying informed, understanding the political system, and encouraging citizens to participate in elections.
