A few days ago Phoenix Suns Executive Rick Welts told the world he was gay.

Now, a former player on the court, Will Sheridan, is admitting the same.

The former Villanova basketball player becomes only the second former Division 1 basketball player to announce he’s gay.

What’s different about Sheridan’s story is that many of his teammates knew he was gay, and he openly dated men while on campus. Despite their knowledge, Sheridan chose to keep the matter under wraps and asked them to do the same.
