From what I can remember about that party, you’re lucky you don’t bark!’”

Yes it’s 2012 — and yes you read that correctly.

In the wake of sending that vicious, unprofessional and highly inappropriate joke suggesting that President Barack Obama‘s mother engaged in bestiality on the night that he was conceived, Chief U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull, has tucked his tail between his legs and written the president a letter of apology, reports Politico.com.

The chief federal judge of Montana would like everyone to believe that though the joke was racist and regurgitated the tired comparison of Black men to animals and the women who love them to nigger animal-lovers, he wants Obama to believe that he simply had an innocent lapse in judgement:

I sincerely and profusely apologize to you and your family for the email I forwarded. I accept full responsibility; I have no one to blame but myself,”  he wrote in the letter. “I can assure you that such action on my part will never happen again. Honestly, I don’t know what else I can do. Please forgive me and, again, my most sincere apology.”

In a strategic letter to Chief Judge of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Alex Kozinski,  an embarrassed Cebull requested an investigation into his own “misconduct.”

I have apologized publicly and profusely for my serious mistake and lack of judgment, and have today written a personal letter of apology to the President of the United States, a copy of which is attached,” Cebull wrote. “I waive any confidentiality as to making this request or to the existence of any proceedings that may ensue from it.”

As is generally the case with spineless racists who can’t own up to their own depravity in broad daylight, Cebull is trying to proactively atone for his “mistake” so that people don’t question the content of his character.

Well, it’s too late for that, Judge.

Barack Obama, Sr and Stanley Ann DunhamI am no fan of President Obama’s policies, particularly his mimicking of Bush 43’s disastrous cowboy intervention into foreign countries where we don’t belong; however, as a Black woman, I am thoroughly disgusted by the blatant attacks on this president because of the color of his skin. Name one white president that would be the butt of jokes containing allusions to having sex with dogs? Name one white president who has been characterized as an ape or a “Lyin’ African“?

Name one president who has had to deal with “yo mama” jokes?

While it is easy to say let’s just focus on his politics, why have his back when he doesn’t have the Black community’s back, the slurs and arrows being thrown at Obama are being flung at us all. This is what they feel about our men — even when they’re President of the United States.

Dogs, apes, jungle creatures.

And this is what they feel about the white people — particularly white women — who dare to love them.

Election 2012 is right around the corner and every bigot, racist and backwards conservative who hides between a constitution written and endorsed by slave-owners as the blueprint for this country will be out in full force. I am not surprised that this sorry excuse for a “judge” is sniffling and crawling for forgiveness only after he’s been caught with his black robe off and his white robe on,  nor am I surprised that his name fits him perfectly.

Save your apology, Judge Cebull. We all know bull when we see it.
