He tried to ignore the stories; he really did, but actor Morgan Freeman, 74, has had enough. In the wake of tabloids and certain Black media websites that have kept this rumor going intermittently for years, Freeman is setting the record straight:
“I am NOT marrying my grand-daughter.”

Not only that, in a “had it up to here” statement to TMZ, he characterizes the reports as “defamatory fabrications” and is adamant that he has never been romantically involved with 27-year-old E’Dena Hines:
The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well.”
Hines released a statement as well:
These stories about me and my grandfather are not only untrue, they are also hurtful to me and my family.”
According to TMZ, Hines is the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw.
Not to be confused with his second wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee. In an old-fashioned case of “what goes on in the dark, comes out in the light,” Freeman filed for divorce in 2008 from Colley-Lee after he was in a car-wreck involving “lady friend” Demaris Meyer, 48. Both Freeman and Meyer were injured in the crash, then treated and released from the hospital, reports the Huffington Post.
Now that Freeman has laid the salacious — and border-line incestuous — rumors to rest, maybe the media can leave this family alone.
