Photo of O'JAYS

The O’Jays is an R&B group from Ohio who gained fame and recognition in the ’70s with their hits, “Back Stabbers,” “Love Train,” and “For the Love of Money.” Eddie Levert, Sr., Walter Williams, Sr., and Eric Nolan Grant rounded out the group, although there have been some lineup switches since the group was formed. In 2005, The O’Jays were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

See them perform “Back Stabbers” below.

And below, hear what they told Roland Martin, host of “NewsOne Now,” in September 2013 about their efforts to raise charitable funding for education.

And also see some of their back story below in this TV One episode of “Unsung,” about Eddie Levert, Sr.’s late son, singer Gerald Levert.

Tune in to “NewsOne Now” with Roland Martin weekdays at 10 a.m. ET.
