First Daughter Malia Obama may get to live in a big old White House, but it’s her new internship that makes her the envy of all 20-something girls.

According to a Page Six report, President Barack Obama’s eldest daughter was spotted on the Brooklyn set of actress and writer Lena Dunham’s hit HBO series GIRLS. The 17-year-old spent about three hours on the set, Page Six writes, but at this point it’s unclear if the teenager is fetching coffee, learning about showbiz, or (fingers crossed), appearing on the feminist-centered show.

A source confirmed to Us Weekly that the First Daughter is indeed getting her summer internship on.

“She’s a fan, and she mentioned that to Lena [Dunham] when she came to the White House,” a source close to the production told Us Weekly. “I’m not sure how long she’ll be interning for. It’s a bit of a trial thing for her. They’ve known each other and discussed for a while. Lena and her get along great.”

But the highly coveted gig isn’t Malia’s only job this summer, the source told Us Weekly. The teenager, who just celebrated her birthday on Independence Day, also has an internship at a fashion house.

All of which makes us think, ‘what were we doing at 17 years old?’

Looks like the almost high-school graduate has a bright future ahead of her. We wish her the best of luck this summer.
