“Yes we Kanye.”

Moments ago, Kanye West received the Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 Video Music Awards, and his acceptance speech was nothing short of epic. After receiving the golden Moon Man from Taylor Swift, the rapper proceeded to speak his mind on everything that’s wrong with award shows, and remind us all to #ListenToTheKidsBro.

“I still don’t understand award shows,” he said. “I don’t understand how they get five people who work their entire life, one sold records, sold concert tickets, to come, stand on a carpet and for the first tie in their life, be judged on a chopping block and had the opportunity to be considered a loser. I don’t understand it bro!”

But in true Yeezy style, the “visionary stream of consciousness” wasn’t all serious.

“Y’all might be thinking right now, did he smoke something before he came out here? The answer is yes, I rolled up a little something. I knocked the edge off.”

Oh, and he also announced his candidacy for President in 2020.

“And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020, to run for president.”

He’s got our vote. If you missed Kanye’s speech, or simply want to relive it, watch below.
