While hip-hop is a culture largely identified with Black men, it’s becoming increasingly en vouge with white women.

When Oakland rapper Kreayshawn signed a $1 million recording deal a few months back,  it became apparent that white females rappers are a valuable, highly sought after commodity.

From The Devil Wears Prada star Anne Hathaway spitting what she described as a Lil Wayne inspired verse on Conan, to the meteoric rise of Kreayshawn and the ‘White Girl Mob,’ rapping white girls may be the most popular current trend in hip-hop.

But that just goes to show you how much they feel they are a part of the community. Though extremely naive and offensive, the music they decided to make may be an interpretation of the life they live and the things they enjoy but it certainly proves that no matter how household hip-hop becomes, some areas will never merge.
