Since America is full of so many different language speakers we do need to establish that English should be the main language here. At the same time, I’m all for Black folks being multi-lingual just so they know what’s up from other groups who are economically attacking us. side note—–being bilingual doesn’t mean you speak english and spanish. It means you speak two (bi) languages (lingual). Whether it be spanish and french, english and cantonese. The point is that while you’re perfecting your english, enough to make decisions based on something you’re reading solely in english, you should have the option to be informed in your strongest language. Just for kicks, lets say you decide to move to Italy because of greater opportunities or simply because you had to. While you’re not there illegally, you’re still not solid on the language. Would you think it fair not to be able to take part in important issues that affect you as a tax payer because there’s no option to assist you in you decision making in the language you understand best?

My interest in the Black Morrish culture of Spain led me to travel to Spain. The Moors dominated the so-called Spaniards for hundreds of years and were later kicked out through various’ inquisitions by the Spaniards. All school kids in the fifth grade learn about the Spanish Inquisition and the Spanish Armada of 1588.
I spent three weeks in Zaragoza Spain with a Spanish family in 1969, and I had to speak spanish.
I traveled all over the country of Spain from the Basque country in the north to Algeciras in southern Spain, and they all spoke Castillian ( Castellano)… its only called spanish because the language comes from modern-day Spain. The country just became Spain after La Reconquista… it used to be various Kingdoms such as Castilla, Leon, Navarra, Asturias, Galicia, etc…) and the language of the Spanish Court was Castillian because of the capital Madrid, was in Castilla.. it became a unifying language.
I took spanish for two years in a good American high school, ( El Camino Real) and no one in Spain had any difficulty understanding my school boy Castillian Spanish.
One of my late aunts was once from Santurce in Puerto Rico, and she spoke Caribbean Spanish which is the language spoken in Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. Caribbean Spanish is spoken faster than in most places, and with less emphasis on consonants, so they are often not even heard, especially the S, R, and D.
My wife started off in her career as a Spanish teacher in high school and after majoring in spanish in college.

There are 20 countries where Spanish is the main language, and several others where it is a major language. There are many regional differences. But they are MUTUALLY intelligible in the vast majority of situations. Look, Cubans understand Domincans, Puerto Ricans understand Mexicans, Mexicans understand Spaniards, Spaniards understand Argentines, but they are all instantly aware that their interlocutor is from elsewhere.
Listen, the written form is even more mutually intelligible. Any educated Spanish speaker will understand 99% of what another person from anyhwere in the world writes.

1.Castillian Spanish is a misnomer. When people say this, what they mean is “Penninsular Spanish” or Spanish as used in Spain.” That’s what I said above!… Cistillian is actually another name we know as “Spanish,” so nnearly everyone in Latin America and Spain speaks Castillian. All Mexicans do in fact speak Castillian Spanish…
2. Latin American Spanish means nothing. Of the 20 countries he referred to, 19 of them are in the Americas. So to say “Latin American Spanish” is almost like saying “Spanish as it is used everywhere but Spain.” Argentina is part of Latin Ameirca, as are Cuba and Mexico. These three countries are amazingly different.
3. It is incredibly difficult to adapt the sort of Spanish to any one audience. But a well-written, not overly colloquial Spanish will be WELL UNDERSTOOD by any naitve Spanish speaker.

4. Mr. Barger states that he is a”gringo, so his Spanish is not native… gringo meaning Yankee. But its a mix of Puerto Rico, Mexico, Spain, and a few other ingredients, roughly in that order.

5. As a side note Mexican Spanish is the most important kind. This is because Mexico has more than double the population of any other Hispanic nation. Well-written Mexican Spanish will be understood by
anyone.

Blacks have the biggest control over store closings and hiring, because we spend the most money than any other race, we can get together to get the television show “The Game” back on air, but we can’t get together to get our jobs back, pitiful. I hope you all vote democrat and speak out. You had a chance to ask the President a question and I read through the questions and they were mostly from other races and not many from Blacks.
