to answer your question Casey, if you actually listened, he talked about those who were considered progressives back in the 1800′s….THEY WERE PROGRESSIVES…actually, the Republican party didn’t exist then. Its not about racism…Racism and Slavery are separate issues..Racism is about keeping a people down based on race while Slavery was about economics. If you study the history of it, all types of people were used as slaves, it just turns out we made the best slaves due to our durability and ruggedness. No one else could handle the brutal conditions like we could. Where Glen is being hypocritical is, the Republicans have signed and enacted the most Rights stealing legislation in the history of the country (Patriot Act) and Mr. Obama has extended some of the provisions. Its starting to get very difficult to tell the liberal from the conservative these days.
