Was that just a figmnet of our imagination. Have you forgotten that the assasination of Dr King was only 40 years ago. How recently has it been since blacks were guaranteed the right to vote? Do you remember that black were once targeted and lynched for voting? Thank you for pointing out the fact that public schools often fail our black children. Thank you for pointing out the disparity between not only public and private schools, but the fact our education is now seperated by ones ability to afford to live on the “good” side of town, so that their kids can go to the “good” public school. Sounds like you may be one the those black people who forgot where you came from, or maybe you never knew where you came from. Maybe your the one who made it out and turned your back. Some of us have not, some of us reach back in the hopes of maybe pulling one of our brothers or sisters out. The struggle continues. It frustrates me that many of my white colleagues acknowledge this, but many black such as yourself are either blind or refuse to acknowledge. By the way slavery ended in 1865, 144 years ago. Perhaps your living in the future, and I would hope things are better there where your are in the year 2065.

First, racism is stupid, a complete waste of time (no, I’m not talking about whites hating black or vise-versa, I’m talking about using the amount of melenoma in the skin to justify the division of the singular human race): THINK FOR YOURSLEF. The second I hear “we blacks” or “all whites” I immediatly turn my ears off, that author has already devalued whatever point he/she may have had. If the official republican stance toward the standard of living and the class of citizenship in the U.S. is “Help yourself”, and that is seen as racist, then so be it. If the official democratic viewpoint is “we will help you” is seen as universaly pro-black, than that is freaking stupid. Under republicans, people are poor and hungry working for “The Man”. Under democrats people are poor and hungry, thanks to government benefits. YOU LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE THE RIGHT TO PURSUE YOUR OWN HAPPINESS HAS BEEN GARUNTEED TO YOU.
