Chawanda Martin (pictured in flyer) of the College Park Fire Department in Georgia is suppose to be putting out flames.

But some photos of herself in racy poses are flaming far too hot for some not to pay attention, WSB-TV reports.

One of the images (pictured above) was posted on “J’Macs Bar and Grill,” around the corner from the College Park Fire Department. The flyer shows Martin as host of a party called Slip and Slide Fridays.”

“She was doing what she thought was best for herself and we were trying to promote J’Macs,” bar employee Joanne Harris said.

When a WSB-TV reporter tracked Martin down and asked her about the photos, she couldn’t explain why she took them. “I don’t know. I can’t give you that. I don’t know.”

College Park city officials say the photos are an “embarrassment to the city.” Though “embarrassing” as they may be to some, Martin likely did not break any personal conduct codes nor are the photos illegal, according to WSB-TV.

City officials had this to say on the matter:

“The city of College Park is aware of this situation, which is currently under investigation. It is not our policy to discuss personnel issues, therefore no additional statements will be forthcoming regarding this matter.”

However, Martin’s comments were more to the point.

“I don’t think it has anything to do with me saving lives,” she told WSB-TV. Martin has been with the College Park Fire Department as a firefighter and emergency medical technician since 2008.

We guess when she is not putting out fires, she likes to light a few of her own, sorta speak.
