Justice continues to be denied for 8-year-old Fanta Bility and other victims of a late August police shooting.

Hopefully, Gabrielle Petito is found alive and well. Unfortunately, there are non-white Gabrielle Petitos across the nation who deserve the same mainstream media attention and sense of urgency but will never receive it.

As another year of commemoration goes by and more ‘Never forget’ messages are posted, we shouldn’t forget that part of the legacy that continues to inflict unbalanced attacks on Black and other communities experiencing injustice. The trauma and horror felt 20 years ago cannot be used to justify turning a blind eye to the ongoing attacks that target people in the present.  

Valerie Castile, the mother of Philando Castile, supports a new policy by the Ramsey County district attorney declining to prosecute non-public safety traffic stops, which disproportionate target Black and other drivers of color.

Admitted racist Nolan Levi Strauss, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison for stabbing a complete stranger twice in the neck nearly killing him, had the caucacity to say Black people are lacking in morality and are not good people.

23-year-old Dayton, Ohio, man Darren Boykin died in police custody in Texarkana, Texas, after repeatedly telling officers he couldn't breathe. Two years later, Boykin's mother has filed a wrongful death lawsuit accusing officers of being  “deliberately indifferent” to her son's complaints and well-being.

On Tuesday, a judge ruled that video of Alvin Motley's shooting by Memphis Kroker Security guard Gregory Livingston will not be made available to the public or to Motley's family until after Livingston's preliminary hearing.

Enrique "Henry" Tarrio, leader of the Proud Boys, launched a last-ditch effort to avoid jail that backfired before he surrendered to authorities in Washington, D.C., to serve time for burning a Black Lives Matter banner snatched off a Black church.

It looks like the story of Joshua Feast, a 22-year-old Black man who was fatally shot by La Marque, Texas, police officer Jose Santos on Dec. 9, 2020, will end the way far too many stories like his end—with police not being held accountable.

Ben Crump said he plans to file a racial profiling lawsuit against the California city of Beverly Hills and Captain Scott Dowling of the Beverly Hills Police Department over what is known as “Operation Safe Streets” and “Rodeo Drive Task Force.”
