University of Utah administrators are looking into two incidents: One where a Black student said they found feces spread over the door to their dorm room and, in the same building, an incident where students said they saw white students dressed in Ku Klux Klan robes.

Black parents in Loudoun County, Virginia, talked about how, for years, they showed up to school board meetings—just as the white CRT opposers do—to discuss Black students being forced to endure humiliating and disturbing lessons that trivialized slavery by turning it into a game. They said their concerns went ignored.

Virginia Commonwealth University recently closed the freshman dormitory Johnson Hall for the remainder of the school year after complaints of humidity, moisture, and mold.

Sixty-five HBCU presidents and chancellors wrote a joint letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell asking for their support in passing the Build Back Better legislation. Citing historic investments in HBCUs and other institutions serving students of color, the group warned of the "unsustainable" trend in increasing financial inequity.
