Pastor Jamal Bryant is known for alleged homophobia, sexism, cheating on his wife, nearly going to jail for not paying child support and being a “carnival act.” Now he will be leaving Empowerment Temple in Baltimore to become the senior pastor for New Birth Missionary Baptist Church — at Eddie Long‘s former church. He was deeply homophobic, yet was accused of taking advantage of several men. In 2010, five young men filed lawsuits against him, and in 2011, the lawsuits were settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.
