BeyonceDetermined and confident, mega-star Beyonce faced the crowd at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Thursday, Jan. 31, and sang the National Anthem, not only live, but a capella!

To spread the icing on the cake, the singer, who has been hammered in the media for lip-syncing at the Inauguration of President Barack Obama, laughed lightly when she was done and asked, “Any questions?”

Watch her kill her performance below:

Finally laying the rumors to rest, Queen Bey admitted to lip-syncing at the Inauguration, but said that it’s standard industry practice.

“Well, I am a perfectionist. And one thing about it is that I practice until my feet bleed,” Beyonce said. “I did not have time to practice with the orchestra. Due to the weather, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. I decided to sing along with my recorded track, which is a common practice in the industry. It was one of my proudest moments. I am very proud of my performance.”.

Earlier this week, Beyonce sported a shirt with the question, “Can I Live?”

Why, yes, she most certainly can.
