Have y’all been keeping track of the conversation around reparations? If you don’t know, The Atlantic magazine released it’s June issue last month. Its cover story: writer Ta-Nehisi Coates’ exploration of reparations. It turns out there was lots of interest in the topic. In fact, it quickly became The Atlantic’s most popular story. “The Case for Reparations has brought more visitors to the Atlantic [website] in a single day than any single piece we’ve ever published,” Atlantic editor James Bennet said.

NewsOne hit the streets to ask everyday folks if they’re in favor of reparations for black Americans. Their answers might surprise you.

People also shared their opinions on the feasibility of a reparations initiative for black Americans.
