Eighteen-year-old Khamayea Jennings, who was escorted to her prom earlier this month by Jacksonville Jaguars player Sen’derrick Marks, passed on Thursday, according to WPXI. She had been battling liver cancer for two years.

The station reports:

Marks asked Jennings to go to prom while she was hospitalized at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Marks picked her up in his Lamborghini and they made their entrance at the dance wearing white and gold.

“Anything you can do… It can be the one moment of their lifetime,” Marks said on prom night. “All I want to do is make sure she continues to smile and have a great time tonight.”

WPXI also reports that Jennings was a graduate of Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology.

Rest in peace, lovely.
