The city of Charleston, South Carolina is still mourning after accused gunman Dylann Roof opened fire inside the historical Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, killing nine people.

As the gunman sits in police custody at a South Carolina detention center, video footage of his arrest in Shelby, North Carolina has been released to the public.

Dash cam footage from police vehicles show four officers approaching Roof’s car after he traveled nearly 250 miles outside of Charleston to Shelby. As Roof steps out of the vehicle, they frisk and handcuff him.

Roof has no reaction during the arrest.

Following the detainment, the 21-year-old waived extradition back to South Carolina, where he is currently being held on $1 million bail for a gun charge. He also faces nine counts of murder.
