Touched By Shaniya Davis Story, Shaq Pays For Funeral
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Basketball star Shaquille O’Neal has paid for the funeral of a 5-year-old North Carolina girl whose kidnapping and slaying received national news coverage.
The Fayetteville Observer in North Carolina reported Thursday that theCleveland Cavaliers player was touched by the case of Shaniya Davis.
More than 2,000 people attended her funeral Sunday. The girl’s body was found Nov. 16 beside a rural road.
Her mother, Antionette Davis, is charged with human trafficking and child abuse involving prostitution. Mario McNeill is charged with murder, rape and kidnapping.
The funeral home declined to say what the service cost.
A Cavaliers official did not return calls from The Associated Press early Thursday. The funeral home declined comment.

That was very nice of Shaq. He is such a sweet man so down to earth I watched him on this show and he spent a day with one of his fans who was also very tall and Shaq was so coo and humble. He really touched my heart I thought it was so nice of him to spend the day with his fan and he gave him advice too and from that day on I think Shaq is awseome and now I read that he is paying for this funeral, wow, Shaq has a big heart! Except for the fact that he cheated on shaunie but thats another story! still love shaq!

For some reason this story about Shaniya really bothers me,maybe because I’ve seen the video of that sick pervert carrying her into the hotel.It is just awful that her ugly crackhead b***h for a mother and that sick disgusting pathetic ugly f**k that did this to her.Her dad should have kept her safe I read that he knew of the situation at her mothers raggedy trailor and that Shaniya had cigarette burns on her arm and she told her dad that her mothers friends did it and yet he did NOTHING about it and why was he crying at the funeral? Guilt yes R.I.P. Shaniya you will never be forgotten and you are safe now in Heaven no one can ever hurt you again.

These are so sick individuals and they need to pay in the WORST way for what this poor innocent angel had to endure. I just pray that poor Shaniya didn’t suffer (smh). Shaq is awesome for that one. There should be a new sentence opposed to the death sentence called the The Torture Sentence. this guy need to be stripped butt naked and thrown in a big room with about 15 gay guys who do what they have to do with him and beat him lightly, rotate every half hour and throw bricks at him and burn cigarettes on him abd stick his head in a bucket of water and kick him in the stomach so he’ll inhale some water. and rotat such acts until he dies slowly and painfully.
