He was charged with assault, for physical ASSAULT (dragging of by the hair) and further charged with bias motivated crime from use of racial epithets (which is a misdemeanor in most states but still punishable.) However, you don’t get charged with a hate crime from pulling someone’s hair. How many of you actually checked out this story on another independent news source before posting? News One, Hello Beautiful and these other black tabloid sites love to leave things out on purpose to make everything appear more dramatic than what it is. What Dustin Meadows did was horrible but we don’t have to embellish stories whenever it benefits us. I notice that NEWS ONE didn’t touch the story about the three black teens who killed the white waitress in New Orleans, or what about Marcus Toliver and Ry Thomas who kidnapped, raped, and killed that white woman in a train station in NJ. I used to live in Colorado. I moved from there last year in December. As a black person in a very homogenized state, you’re fine in the bigger cities like Denver and Colorado Springs. If you go to the smaller towns on the plains east of there or even worse, some of the towns in the mountains, you have to watch your back. This white boy got a little liquor in his system and felt because this black woman was in a ski resort town where there aren’t many blacks, that he probably could get away with doing this to her. Whites in super homogenized states like Colorado, Utah, and Idaho, to name a few, get pretty bold and try you quite a bit more than what they do back on the East Coast where I’m from. If this queen had some brothas with her, it wouldn’t have gone down like that at all. They’d have handled old boy….probably permenantly.
