Some issues extend beyond the obvious. Racism is a valid assumption based on the circ**stance; but, the facts could prove differently. In fact, if the mayor and DA have falsely pressured the chief out of his position then it is also quite possible that they don’t like his values. In other words, what the chief may consider priorities may be the very things that the mayor and DA do not… Plus, there is the chance that the chief’s behavior is inconsistent with the expected behavior of someone in his position. And thus, the mayor and DA’s concerns might be valid. Racism is like cancer. In that in the presence of certain symptoms, it’s a valid initial assumption but for verification an objective analysis is required.

I am african and every time i see stories like this it hurts. What hurts more is that my African american brothers leave very stupid comments for example criticizing Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Black people should support their leaders. They already have the whole system above them. How does a majority Black state end up with majority White elected officials? When you find a majority Black population uneducated about their own rights or even their own history, you end up with more advocates for white supremacy.
The lack in education in the urban areas of this country isn’t surprising as it’s been highlighted several times in news, movies and other media, but no concrete plans have been set in motion in order to help progress and in some cases egress the situation.
Bush’s “No Child Left Behind Act” has helped push some kids through the system that need the education and therefore giving them an inferior education at a more expensive price. This situation needs to be rectified.

I haven’t read a decent story out of Louisianna, except from New Orleans and the rebuilding effort. It just seems as though every parish is a raggedy little pissant town where racism runs rampant The anger that I harbor after I read each lousy story on this stuff (the reporting was and usually is, excellent). I can’t understand how these people still get away with this mess, even after it gets national news media attention. Very few seem to care.I’ve never been able to tolerate these kinds of racist displays, without wanting to do great bodily damage to the perpetrators. I never have, even though it’s gotten me into some raging melees. I’m getting too old to keep that up. But someone needs to figure out how to put these knuckleheads in jail and keep them there for a long time. The lawyers should be disbarred forever. Some of these cities are rampant with bad things but we can’t exactly push all the blame over the black officials in this city. You don’t how their job is managed and what their limits are. I’m not completely sure about this situation, if their testament about the racial coup is true or not but i’m not going to discard it like it is just another cry to the race card and also because they were not capable to uplift everyone in their town to success with what they had in hands by themselves. However for someone to simply believe that it’s not and neglecting the other possibility it is but a blatant unreasonable maneuver of their part to push their judgment on the matter only in the way they want it to fit. You said, some people in the town expressed their feelings toward the black officials and from what i read in the article the majority actually support them so i don’t really see your point. I guess it’s easy for you to point out any negativity even if they’re fair or not to pass your argument. The town however is still poor, but to fix this you need money and that doesn’t come from the pockets of the mayor or the chief of police so you cannot blame them. You said why asking for government help or others when you can elevate your own self as some people who came in this country have done so, but this is nothing but stereotypical notions. But let’s say for the sake of this argument the majority did but you forget that people have different upbringing. Not everyone is born with the right direction in their head to be a better person. If you come from a poor community it even increase the limits of what you can accomplish. Take for example, if you create a town and you put all the poorest people in it while outside the others are living but a good life. For these people to elevate themselves and be like the outsiders, what do they need? Do you think just having an education would help? Actually it could but from a town that’s already poor what can they do over there. They more likely would go to another state where it’s more fruitful and the town would still stay poor. But before everything that’s if you can actually get them to get an education and if what they get is sufficient to satisfy most people needs. I don’t know if you realize but we’re living in a very snobbish world.

Free enterprise and networking with other people do elevate a town but to have these things you need again money and america is already competitive. And some people wouldn’t invest in there because of the lack of production and the crimes which most of the time usually occur because of them living in poverty. To fight the crime, say for example for what happened in Chicago where more than 40 people got shot and injured and the cops were there doing nothing, You need more enforcements which equals more money by the way and stricter laws on those districts. Just the mayor or the chief wouldn’t be able to do anything. Have laws for example to force these kids to get an education and if they fail or they don’t want to they will send them to do community services. Ban guns in those areas and have a throughout inspection in the town to seize them. Those are somethings that the government or senators or whatever could do to cure this predicament. Believing or letting them to battle it out by themselves will not solve anything. I mean they are supposed to be our leaders, right?!

And come’on this society has been built upon separatism but i’m not talking in the way you completely don’t associate yourself with others but you’re more mindful and in support of of your own group. All the wealth these white people get where do they get it, isn’t it from other people and when they take these fortunes do you think they spend it to help others or to support themselves. Look at the Jews, how they’ve built their system to support themselves through and through, Ins’t that separatism?! We don’t do that ourselves because we’re living in fantasy world where we expect even the little Muslim guy in the farthest corners of this world to care about us because we’re swimming in this idiotic notion that we’re all equal. I did said in a post long ago there was a show on cable about white supremacists on how they are blending in getting top jobs that will allow them to have more power. They hide their racist tattoos, grow their hair (white women) dress neatly. This is just the tip of the iceberg what happened in Waterproof since most black people are not educating themselves by checking online and watching programs on cable that tell you the real stories about these people. Where do people think racists from west and east coast move to? The minute these people take over the whole south things will get worse and mainstream media did not report what happened in Waterproof either. I wish that there were more Native Americans because just imagine if that was the case and they were running the country the racists will be the minority and lock up in the asylum! I can’t wait for the report on the next census because the last one it seem white people were the majority like up to 200 millions living here while Black, Brown, Yellow and Red make up the other 100 millions. I don’t believe that was the correct numbers of minorities living in the US.
