YORK, PENNSYLVANIA – Tea Party member Andrew Tome attempted to invite members of the York, Pennsylvania NAACP to a Tea Party “Advancing The Honor” rally , but his invitation was rejected due to the organization’s views on racism in the Tea Party.
But a majority of the NAACP members at the May 10 meeting disagreed. Reasons varied among the members. Several said they couldn’t get past perceptions that some tea partiers are racists.
