PSA Recreates Chris Brown and Rihanna Beating

Scholars Talk Chris Brown, Rihanna and Youth Culture

Mediatakeout is reporting that Chris Brown has struck a plea deal that will involve jail time.

Us Weekly has Rihanna’s father’s reaction to Brown’s Not Guilty plea.

[Chris Brown] needs to stop being in denial. I just would like to see justice go in the right direction

I don’t want his career to be damaged — it’s damaged already. I think he’s a talented guy, but everybody should have to pay. When you do the crime, you do the time. I don’t want to see him locked up for a long time — I just want him to acknowledge and get some help.”

Who did it — that’s the question now. If he’s not guilty, who did it? He should say ‘guilty’ and let the court be leaning into him and try himself to the mercy of the court, see if he gets a fine…

Now he’s going to go beyond that and it could go longer, it can be even worse. It can be worse for him in the long run.”

Rihanna’s lawyer spoke to the media outside the courtroom.

From TMZ

Donald Etra just said Rihanna would be pleased “if it [the case] were over quickly– as in plea bargain. Etra was asked what kind of deal would she want — he said she recognized it wasn’t up to her.

As we first reported, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, and the prosecutor are in the throws of plea bargain negotiations and one source says a deal is “close.” Rihanna has made it clear — she does not want to go to court, although Etra says she will cooperate if ordered to do so.

Chris Brown has just pleaded not guilty to two felony counts regarding his February situation with Rihanna in a Los Angeles courtroom.
