A former University of Georgia linebacker was arrested for a physical altercation involving a female companion in Atlanta,the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday.

Rennie Curran, 22, and 23 year-old Nathalie Quezada were both arrested after an argument between the two became physical. After numerous slaps from Quezada, and a back-and-forth tussle, Curran grabbed Quezada and threw her into bushes, Curran told officers.

Both were charged with simple battery, booked into Fulton Country Jail and later released, police said.
