Officer Brenda Louthain told the Logansport Pharos-Tribune the accidental shooting occurred Saturday at a home outside the northern Indiana city.

The older girl went to Logansport Memorial Hospital for treatment. Louthain declined to provide more information on the girl’s injuries.

Louthain says the 11-year-old told her she was playing “playing CSI” at the time. The television program of the same name dramatizes crime scene investigations.

Louthain says the girls’ parents were not home at the time.
