The unidentified cyclist, who wasn’t seriously injured, was taken to a local hospital for routine X-rays. Morgan also left the accident unscathed.

The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. while he was waiting for his trainer. When “30 Rock” star decided to exit his parked silver Jaguar sedan and opened the door, the delivery man slammed right into it. Morgan claims that the cyclist was donned in all-black without reflectors or anything that would make him standout in the dark.

Bicycle accidents occur at an alarming rate in the United States. It is estimated that more than 51,000 people are injured every year due to bicycle accidents. New York City has one of the highest numbers of bicycle and motor vehicle-related injuries with more than 5,500 occurring every year according to the New York City Department of Transportation.

As a result of the accident, Morgan’s door could not close. But a tow truck was called and the door was eventually fixed.

“This kind of stuff happens all the time in the city. I grew up in the city. I’ve been dealing with this stuff for years. Brooklyn-born and raised, Bed-Stuy do or die,”  Morgan commented to the New York Post before he sped away with his attractive female trainer.
