The 32-year-old man, who was reportedly intoxicated during the January 18th biting assault, was living with his girlfriend and another female roommate, who both remain unidentified. Quinn and his girlfriend were reportedly in the throes of a heated exchange, when his roommate got involved.
In court, the defense claimed that Quinn’s drink had been spiked with a narcotic. After Quinn was found guilty, the jurors were informed that he was practically a criminal careerist with 15 convictions under his belt, running the gamut from assault to theft to drug possession.
In addition to the maximum 20-year sentence allowed by law for Quinn’s crime that was handed down by the presiding judge, the jury fined him $10,000 as well.
