Showcasing just how racially tone deaf he is, Rush Limbaugh (pictured left) recently said that the discrimination Oprah Winfrey (pictured) faced in Europe in a handbag shop was due to her weight and not racism.

Limbaugh’s most-recent diarrhea of the mouth stems from an incident that occurred in June, when talk show mogul Winfrey went to Zürich, Switzerland, to attend friend Tina Turner’s wedding.
While Winfrey was on a little retail therapy adventure, she reportedly stumbled upon a handbag shop, where she zeroed in on a handbag.
When Oprah reportedly asked to see it, the salesperson refused to show it to her.
In fact, the clerk reportedly told the millionairess that the $38,000 bag was way too pricey, stating, “No, no, you don’t want to see that one. You want to see this one because that one will cost too much. You will not be able to afford that.”
When Winfrey reportedly asked to see the bag again, she was reportedly informed by the shopkeeper that the bag was financially beyond her reach, with Winfrey agreeing with her and leaving the shop.
Afterward, Winfrey said that she believed the shopkeeper assumed the handbag was out of her price range because she is Black. The owner of the shop, Trudie Goetz, who later apologized for the incident, ironically attended Turner’s wedding. According to Goetz, her sales clerk did not recognize Winfrey.
Never one to sit a controversy out, Limbaugh recently decided to weigh in on the debacle, reasoning that Winfrey’s weight caused the snub rather than racism — since there is no racism in Europe.
The very rotund telecaster, who is known for spewing mindless rhetoric, went on to refer to Winfrey as “The Oprah” and then explained that fat people are generally considered to be poor and stupid.
