Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 2 x Adidas surprise show shocked fans and the fashion world this week, but not everyone is thrilled with the rapper’s fashion choices. On Wednesday, ‘Ye released his new collection featuring nude, tan, and brown bodysuits. Other looks included tattered tees and heavy fabric sweaters.

More recently, Ice-T provided some insight into Yeezy’s fashion, particularly the Season 1 collection from February. Calling it “future slave gear,” it’s obvious the Law & Order: SVU star won’t be rocking any of the rapper’s garments.

Kanye stans rushed to Twitter to correct Ice-T on his sharing of photos from the older show, but the legendary rapper provided no apologies.

Ice-T wasn’t the only one who wasn’t thrilled about the line. Chris Brown also shared a fan-made video on his Instagram page.

The surprise presentation also shook up the rest of NYFW, including designer Anne Bowen. Bowen told CNN that Kanye’s lack of communication with the fashion world caused chaos when his show was pushed the same time as her Nomad VII presentation.

CNN reports:

“Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this,” said Bowen, who moved her show to Thursday and lodged a complaint with the Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Calendar. “It’s like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this.”

Despite the criticism, Ye’s show was celebrated by fans, and in a recent interview with Vogue’s Andre Leon Talley, Kanye revealed fatherhood has changed his perspective on fashion.
